In a deteriorated house, a vestige of a bygone era, resides DOLORES (in her 50s), a robust and timid woman who takes care of her mother, MAGNOLIA (in her 80s), and her aunt, INÉS (in her 70s), who suffers from advanced senile dementia. Following the death of MARÍA (in her 100s), the family matriarch, PEREGRINA (in her 80s), Magnolia and Inés's sister, returns after years of absence.

Peregrina's return marks the beginning of a journey through the family's history, dominated by ghosts of the past and unresolved traumas.
