Malmirada
Synopsis
Since her father left her mother for a younger model and influencer who appears sculpted by the gods, Nina (12) feels her world crumbling. Her mother's mental and physical health deteriorate with the difficult divorce, forcing Nina to move in with her father and his new wife for an extended period. This woman awakens insecurities in Nina for the first time, insecurities she never knew existed about her own body. Black hairs on her arms, folds around her vagina, and clogged pores become symbols of the filth she feels defines her: Nina feels grotesque.
Hoping to gain popularity among the hormonal teenagers at her new school, Nina embarks on a surprising exploration of her sexuality and identity by creating a black market for her stepmother's used panties. Ironically, this journey of self-discovery will bring her closer to her stepmother as she fills the immense void left by her absent mother. However, the more Nina connects with this seemingly hateful woman, the more conflicted she feels about betraying her mother.
